Our task - to restore your eyesight!
For the first time on the basis of a private clinic in the Russian ophthalmic practice, in 1996, Professor VV Kurenkov and his colleagues introduced and began to carry out corrective eye surgery using the excimer laser of a new generation. Since the era of Russia's excimer laser eye surgery. While it was the first eye clinic where they were executed tens of thousands of refractive surgery and has accumulated extensive experience in domestic practice of laser vision correction!
Currently we use the most advanced and reliable techniques for the correction of refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism!
In our practice we use such techniques of vision restoration as LASIK, PRK, EpiLASIK and, of course, our patented unique technology REIK.
We have been restoring vision since 1996!

All methods of excimer laser surgery are aimed at changing the geometric parameters of the cornea, so the optical system of the human eye no longer needs correction aids such as glasses or contact lenses!
You should know! The surgery is performed on the cornea and changes its refractive power, which allows focusing the image in the macular area of the retina and providing high visual acuity.
WHY DOES VISION DETERIORATE?
Refraction is a refractive power of the optical system of the eye, expressed in diopters.
Refractive errors are a common problem that leads to decreased quality of life..
Nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism are always manifested by deteriorated vision. The eye cannot focus at the right distance, so it is necessary to correct vision with glasses or contact lenses which is not always convenient and sometimes is unsafe.
Of all refractive errors myopia is the most common. Statistics say that myopia occurs in every third inhabitant of the planet! It can be detected at any age, but usually it starts at the age from 8 to 16 years, and then either progresses or stabilizes. But in any case, myopia reduces the quality of life and requires constant attention.
You should know! Deteriorated vision always requires correction! A common myth that glasses and lenses deteriorate vision is really a myth. If you do not use the proper correction your eyes stop working, which leads to amblyopia, more commonly known as a “lazy eye”. If this eye pathology has developed, your eyes will not be able to see at 100% even when using adequate correction.
In our clinic we use advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment of refractive errors. Excimer laser correction will help to restore and improve your visual acuity.
what is the PURPOSE of laser vision correction?
Widespread occurrence of such diseases as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism is a prerequisite for the development of new effective methods for correction of refractive errors. One of these methods is laser vision restoration..

You would say that there are glasses and contact lenses that are affordable for everyone and easy to use. But at the same time thousands of people worldwide undergo laser vision correction every day. Why is this happening? The answer is simple! Each person using glasses is familiar with the discomfort after their prolonged use. Inevitable pressure on the nose and ears may cause pain! In winter, when the temperature changes drastically, glasses fog up, and that is not very comfortable. In addition, glasses are extremely inconvenient for sports and outdoor activity. And what if you forget or lose your glasses? Your day is lost. As for contact lenses, properly selected lenses are more comfortable than glasses, as they contact directly with your eyes and create a single optical system. Lenses do not fog up like glasses, do not put pressure on the nose and ears and are very convenient for sports. But, no matter how advanced your lenses are, their use reduces the access of oxygen to the tissues of the eye, resulting in invasion of blood vessels into the cornea and dry eye syndrome. The period of use of contact lenses is limited. As a rule, it is 5-10 years, after which there are changes in the cornea, impeding wearing lenses..
Laser vision correction provides a new quality of life without glasses and contact lenses! You become free and forget about glasses or contact lenses!
You should understand! At a certain age, usually until 18 years of age, glasses and contact lenses are the only possible way of vision correction, because of continued growth (eyes grow too), which is why laser vision correction is not performed. But it is extremely important to wear contact lenses correctly, as well as to monitor the change in vision dynamics with your ophthalmologist and timely change diopters of contact lenses and glasses..
WHAT exaMINATION IS conducted BEFORE laser vision correction?
Before the surgery you must undergo a complete eye examination. It is necessary to evaluate the condition of all structures of the eye and a number of other parameters. These are typical examinations:

Measurement of visual acuity;
Autorefractometry (examination of refraction of the eye);
Pneumotonometry (intraocular pressure measurement);
Pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement);
Schirmer test (lacrimation measurement);
Echobiometry, A method (eye length measurement – anterior-posterior axis);
Perimetry (visual field study);
Computer topography of the cornea;
Examination of the fundus under mydriasis (wide pupil).
Complete eye examination allows predicting the result of the surgery and avoiding possible complications.
How is laser vision correction performed?
The procedure is a minimally invasive surgery, during which the curvature of the cornea is changed.
Change of the curvature of the cornea with an excimer laser helps to achieve normal image focusing on the retina. The technologies used guarantee safety and precision and provide the best possible visual acuity!

The surgery itself lasts on average 10-15 minutes. Local anesthesia is applied: special drops eliminate pain and discomfort! After the surgery you should stay in the clinic for about 1.5 hours under the supervision of medical staff. Then you can go home, following our recommendations! Laser vision correction does not really affect the habitual rhythm of life!
Important! After a complete preoperative examination the ophthalmologist will explain in detail the specifics of pre- and postoperative periods. It is very valuable information, which for your convenience is written up in a special leaflet!
ADVANTAGES OF LASER VISION CORRECTION
Laser vision correction is one of the most popular surgeries around the world!
Advantages of the method:
- Safety;
- Painlessness;
- Reliability;
- Takes little time (10-15 minutes);
- Wide range of possibilities;
- Outpatient conditions;
- Short period of rehabilitation;
- Predictable result;
- Simplicity and affordability;
- No tests are required;
- No sutures or injections.
The effect persists for life!
You should understand! Laser vision correction does not guarantee the absence of other eye diseases in the future!
What are the contraindications to laser vision correction?
There are some obstacles for an eye surgery. Basically they can be divided into temporary and permanent ones. What does it mean? Temporary contraindications are reversible conditions both on the part of the eye and the organism as a whole. After their resolution the surgery becomes possible and safe. Here are the main ones:
- Unstable refraction (progressive myopia);
- Acute inflammation of the eyes and other organs;
- Pregnancy and breast-feeding;
- Degenerative and dystrophic changes in the cornea;
- Fundus changes (dystrophy, breaks).
Permanent contraindications to laser correction:
- Insufficient thickness of the cornea;
- Cataract;
- Glaucoma;
- Retinal detachment;
- Previous surgical treatment of retinal detachment;
- Subluxation of the lens;;
- Severe diabetes.
You should understand! If you have a permanent contraindication for excimer laser correction, our specialists will offer alternative and modern ways of restoring vision!
What is the difference between LASIK and other types of CORRECTION?
Laser vision correction is available in several versions: Lasik, Reik, Super Lasik, femto Lasik and Smile. The names do not say much, but these are well-established terms used in modern ophthalmology. The difference between standard Lasik/Reik and Super Lasik is in the second stage of correction, i.e. cornea exposure to the excimer laser. The term “Super Lasik” is not entirely correct, because laymen might think that the standard Lasik technology is defective, while Super Lasik is superior. In English, the term “custom Lasik” is used, which is more correct. Another correct name for this type of Lasik surgery is “personalized Lasik”. This does not mean that a standard option is worse, but there are rare cases when a custom surgery is preferable. Each case is considered individually and on the basis of examinations a conclusion is made on the preferred form of surgery.
The principal difference between femto Lasik and standard Lasik is that the valve is formed using a femtosecond microkeratome and not mechanically. Among experts there is no unequivocal opinion about the femtosecond laser. Some consider it the best tool, while others, on the contrary, prefer time-tested mechanical microkeratome. So now there is some controversy as to whether femtosecond Lasik should be used.
Recently a new technology of laser vision correction appeared. It is called Smile. The whole surgery is performed with a femtosecond laser; the step of forming a valve (flap) is absent. A refractive section, lenticule, is formed in the cornea, and then it is removed with a special tool through an incision from 2 to 4 mm in diameter, formed by a femtosecond laser..
You should remember!Your eyes and your vision are the primary means of interaction with the outside world and the main instrument in any activity! You need them 365 days a year, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
We guarantee an accurate diagnosis and an individual selection of optimal vision correction method!
The price of LASIK laser vision correction starts from 26,000 rubles! The price includes: visual inspection on the day of the surgery; the surgery itself using foreign expendable materials; an individual set of disposable clothes; medicines (drops) used after the surgery; and 4 postoperative examinations!
